'First In – Last Out' (FI-LO) may not be ideal for every application, but when you need lots of storage for similar products, this is how you achieve the highest possible storage density without block stacking and damaging products.
A 'First In – First Out' (FI-FO) racking solution balancing high density with good stock rotation. Ideal when space is at a premium and products are perishable – most commonly found in the food industry.
A ‘First In – Last Out’ (FI-LO) racking solution with better access to different product lines. This roller / cart based solution is ideal when space is at a premium and you need to have high-density storage but you have multiple product lines to store – very commonly used in freeze stores.
Generally 4,000mm or 5,000mm deep racks are set up with a full length chipboard base to protect fibres from snagging on chipboard joins and prevent rolls from sagging – most commonly used with a counterbalance forklift with ‘jousting’ boom attachment.
